Version 0.3 is out, and it's quite fine. I'm actually using it myself everyday and am quite happy with it.
You still need apache with mod_rewrite, but now you can set it up under a separate folder within your web server, without having to create a sub domain or a virtual host. I tried to not use mod_rewrite, but there are some hard coded javascript that I need to get rid off first. It shall be fine with 0.4.
I've developed v0.3 with firefox, use it daily with Safari, tested it with Opera and it's fine so far (slightly buggy with Opera 10.10 but really not a big deal). But then there's Internet explorer... Well, while it's almost usable with IE8, don't even think about using any older version of Internet Explorer. And there's so many problems, I don't know where to start to make it work. Sorry IE users, I know it's kind of a big deal, but you'll have to be patient.
And here's a list of the main changes between 0.2 and 0.3 :
- Added : customization option for number of items to be shown (pagination)
- Added : order results by column (deadline, priority, start time, etc...)
- Added : jdpicker (javascript calendar on date fields)
- Improved : time and duration input controls
- Improved : search box design
- Improved : new/edit task submit (checks form before sending data to server)
- Improved : server actions message reports
- Fixed : magic quotes (gpc) compatibility
- Other minor bug fixes
And now, here's what's planned for next version :
- Make use of mod_rewrite optional
- Add multi language support
Now go get it. Happy freaking task tracking.
